Otama no Kyabetsu

A long-established restaurant in Hiroshima that has been loved by locals for 30 years, serving amazing okonomiyaki made with the skills of an okonomiyaki craftsman bringing out the best of every ingredient.

(Okonomiyaki (“cooked as you like”) is a Japanese savory pancake-like dish made with a flour-based batter and cabbage, containing a variety of ingredients from vegetables to meat and/or fish.)

While maintaining the traditional ways of cooking okonomiyaki, "Otama no Kyabetsu" has been loved by locals for 30 years.
Our soft and round okonomiyaki is truly exquisite because the mild sweetness of the cabbage and umami of the ingredients are drawn out to their full potential through the chef’s culinary expertise!

We highly recommend "The Miyajima" which contains large, plump oysters, as well as "The Hiroshima" which contains classic ika-ten (pieces of squid deep-fried in batter) topped with green onions.

We also have a large selection of popular and rare local sake, including Ugo no Tsuki 雨後の月 ("moon after the rain") and Kirei 亀齢 (“turtle’s age/longevity”).
